Hewitt Forestry is a small operation working across Middle Tennessee. The person who quotes the job is the person who runs the machine.
Turn up on time, work at a good pace, leave the ground usable.
Most of what we do is forestry mulching: cutting brush, briars and saplings down and grinding them into a mulch layer that stays where it falls. There is nothing to burn and nothing to haul off, and the ground is walkable the day we finish.
The rest of the work is what sits either side of that. A grapple for downed timber and old brush piles, a bucket for the grading and backfill, and a bush hog for the fields that need a pass rather than a clearing.
It is a small operation on purpose. That means one person you deal with from the quote to the last load, and a standard that does not change depending on who was sent out.

Careful around what you are keeping
Mark the trees you want left and they stay. A mulching head gets in tight around what is staying without barking the trunks or churning the roots.

A price before anything starts
You get a quote up front, and it is free whether or not you go ahead. Take other bids; most people do, and we would rather be one of three than the only one.

Licensed, insured and cleaned up
Fully licensed and insured on every job, and the site is left tidy, with mulch spread out as ground cover rather than pushed into a pile and left for you.
